I’m SERRA, a songwriter based in Las Vegas. I write the way I’ve always lived—by hand, from the heart, one black-and-white composition notebook at a time. What began in childhood as simple poetry naturally evolved into songwriting, year after year, simply because I never put the pen down.
For most of my life, those pages stayed private. But a shift in perspective changed everything. I realized my music could do for someone else what writing had always done for me: prove that someone understands the quiet, unfiltered parts of everyday life. My songs aren’t written for an imagined audience living an imagined life. They’re written for the person doing laundry at midnight, the commuter replaying a conversation on the drive home, the one sitting in a parked car for five extra minutes just to breathe.
Because life doesn’t hold still, neither does my sound. I move fluidly across genres—delivering a hard-hitting hip-hop track one day and an intimate acoustic folk song the next—following whatever the truth of the moment demands.
At its core, my work is about connection. If a lyric or a melody lands the way it’s meant to, the music has done exactly what it set out to do: made someone feel a little less alone.
